In 2016, Ian Patrick (a member of the Rings Beach Wetland Group), spent many hours collating and perfecting a complete historical record of the Rings Beach Wetland project.
The end result of Ian's hard work was a book called "One Man's Dream" which chronicles the project from the beginning of the idea in Bruce Smith's mind, right through to the fantastic community resource that we are all able to use today.
The book goes into incredible detail of of the highs and lows, the triumphs and challenges, and everything else that came along the way during the development of the track, the discovery of the wetland and the ongoing conservation efforts of volunteers.
The book is also illustrated with an outstanding array of photos which provide some insight into the activities that have taken place to turn Bruce Smith's dream into a reality.
